I have been reading about methanol injection quite a bit lately, and was wondering if anyone here has used it? My throttle body spacer seems like a natural place to install one.

 

I am actually assembling an alky kit as we speak, but I am doing the setup slightly different than evryone else.

The primary issue with our cars and alky is th fact that the MAF is integeral with the throttlebody housing...

Obviously the last thing you want to do is spary alky directly onto your MAF.

YES...people have been successful running a nozzel in the TBS, but i would highly recomend against this setup. You are still taking a chance of fouling the MAF due to a little black spray/ turbulance...not to mention, its nearly impossible to get that TBS to seal air-tight again once you start tearing it apart.

What I am doing is purchasing another l67 throttle body and a MAF such as LT1,LQ1,LQ4 style. With this setup, you can run the nozzel for the alky where the MAF previously was in the L67 throttle body, and now you have a new MAF, thats not going to get fouled mounted elsewhere remotely.

Another member on these boards had given me the idea of mounting the nozzel where the MAF was, and my alky guy confirmed that this was a very nice solution.

We plan on taking the alky into the 11's without an intercooler...

 

I have a 3/4" spacer between the throttle body and the blower. That's where I was thinking about putting it after the throttle body.
