For the past couple months my monte has been acting weird with the tranny.
I will be coming home from work and I have to go up a pretty steep hill, once to about the middle of the hill my car starts to rev weird as if the tranny is slipping in and out of gears.
??? It now has started doing this when I am pulling onto a highway and around 45 mph it shifts into OD and it will do the rev thing and feel like it's slipping. I can give it more gas and it quits, but not sure what could be wrong??
Anyone else had/having these problems?? Any help is much appreciated! ![Smile](https://montecarloforum.com/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif)

I dropped him off at the dealership today. Ball joint and tie rod end is getting replaced. I will call and have them see if there are any codes. Last time I thought it was my tranny it was really my MAF, but Idk what else this could be.
I really hope it's something simple.

I just had my oil changed and they checked my fluids, everything seems fine that way. Had my tranny flushed last summer, only have driven about 5000 miles. Luckily, if it is a tranny problem my friend owns a transmission shop and only charges me parts and half of labor... Thank goodness for great friends, but hopefully it's something easy.

I've never had a transmission flushed, because then you still are using the same ol' trans filter. I ALWAYS pan drop. In my area, I change trans fluid/filter at LEAST every 100,000 miles.
My '94 Grand Am got it's second trans fluild/filter changed over summer. The Monte I may do next spring, not because of mileage, just age (has barely over 60,000 miles on the car).
