I was talking to my dad about my car and we got to wondering...

has anyone put in a manual transmission in their fwd monte? Do they even make them?

 

There have been a couple of people that I know of that have done it to their 5th gen Montes (at least 2 that I know of for sure). I know that there was a couple of Grand Prix guys that have done it too, and one can be found here: http://www.clubgp.com/newforum/showP...sp?memid=39824

As a matter of fact, the guy that did the manual that I just showed was one guy who put a manual in a 5th gen. I believe the tranny that they use is either a Getrag 282 or 284 which were available in the 1st gen W-bodies from the early 90's.

There was never a manual offered however in 5th through 7th gen Montes from the factory.

 

Pontiac had a six speed stick in their G6 models....
Check out below I know they had a GTP with the 3.9L GM Engine....
