Default 03 monte carlo ls manual transmission conversion

hi everyone in need of a little assistance. i have a 03 monte carlo ls, i am currently getting prepared to do the SS conversion. taking out the 3400 and dropping in the 3800 series 2 Supercharged motor. computer wiring harness etc. i was thinking about the idea of going manual transmission,

has this been done? if so how do i get around the computer thinking its still auto?

thanks

scott

I've been wanting to do this as well.

As far as Montes, I don't think anyone on this forum has or known of someone who has done it, but there's a Grand Prix running around that has done it (sister engines).

As far as I know, it's expensive as all hell to do it, and you HAVE to switch out computers. It is possible, just expensive.

If you do it, let us know, I've been wanting to do the same for a while!

Exactly. I can count on one hand the amount of people that have actually gone through with a conversion like that.

It is not easy, and it is not cheap.

What transmissions do you have lined up? You would probably just need to use the stock L67 computer and have any trans codes deleted that spring up.

It's an awesome idea/fantasy, as I think a manual trans would be wicked awesome, but cost and amount of work and problems to overcome really hurt the ability to go forward with this idea.

Milzy Motorsports is trying to find someone to do it with them. I'm sure it'll be a hefty price tho
