Leaking T-stat housing!
and more problems arise with my monte....
a few days ago my ac controls went bad, the fan doesn't work on speeds 1 and 2 anymore
but i've already done some searching around for that
and this happened a few days ago, my bumper was too low for a parking spot barrier thing lol

you did figure out that it's the blower motor resistor, correct? Hate to see you replace the wrong part.
I think the red will work fine for this. I have a mark just like that on the bottom side of my bumper. The asphalt was kinda sunk in under the tires and when the car rolled forward into park it scrapped.
I'm going to get the ac controls from the junk yard first and try that, I can get it really cheap anyways
then I'll buy the resistor if that's not the case
Is it bad Lou? I just touched mine up with the pen thing from duplicolor and it's barely noticeable

There is a paper gasket for the T-stat housing. You might have to look up a different year 3800, but it does exist. My dad had one on his '98 Grand Prix and one of the gasket kits (not sure if it's LIM or UIM) had both the paper gasket AND the rubber ring style.
yours is super low mike :p It's not leaking anymore though so its all good for now
