There are so many different approaches to make your car more and more unique. This year, I'm ditching the engine cover (partly because it's messing up the clear coat on my aluminum F-body 3800 valve covers). Also, I'm upgrading to an L26 UIM.... No sense in covering this one up.
But the engine cover is such a focal piece that is RIGHT there. For those who want to run with it, putting a "custom" touch to it is a great way to get an on lookers attention. I've seen a guy on ClubGP that offers some outstanding air brush services!
I really like what you've done Dave!! Heck in my generation Monte, the earlier years "3800 Series II" and "V6" were silver from the factory. My original engine cover NO coloring. Something that simple annoyed me for the time I ran with a cover.

Thanks Gents!
Im sure you realize mine is basically a stocker... It has some things that makes it unique ... But its not a full on custom... (Far from it) its amazeing what you can accomplish with some rattle can spray paint and some tape...lol
I just thought between the meet and greets, The nats...etc... I just thought i'd try to make it a bit more presentable. Its far from a "Show" car though.
