Default Underhood...

of the 03 N/A SS ( i'm sure other years apply) there is an aluminum heat sheild that covers the exhaust crossover going over the transaxle.

Take some Neverdull, Busch's metal polish or Mothers aluminum polish.. and polish that.... not to shabby looking at all.

You can see it easily standing in front of the drivers side.

I bet a 3400 is different. 3800 it's easy to see.

I just looked at your pics you posted showing the 3400.. its under the top rad hose.

It's different than the 3800.. but it's there.

Sorry, I was asking where you'd have to be to see it on your car. It's not something I'd do on mine. I was just wanting to get an idea as to how visible it is and whatnot.

show some photos of it. it might help out some and also weather or not i would be worth trying to get to it.
On the 3800 it is under the engin cover on the driver side stright down frm the air intake hose.
Actually very visabel on the 3800 from the front of the car

It shines up nicely, and is noticeable. Monte is right, you have to decide if you want to do it.

I did a little bit here, a little there. My SS sits, and that makes it easier to work on.
It's not my everyday driver.... yet.

It's something thats unusual and will catch some eyes.

I'll try to get some pics of it.
