I am going to do a swap to my monte and have a chance at a 04 grand prix l67 but it had a burn and all the engine harness is burnt but everything mechanical looks good that i can see. is there anything in the supercharger that could melt or would you think this thing is junk?

 

For how cheap you can find these things, I wouldn't bother with a burned one.

All the gaskets are probably melted, and that would be a pain to clean off correctly for the new to seal.

 

Not to mention, uhm, what caused the burn?

And unless that engine is next to free, I'd walk away. Along the lines of what Chibi mentioned, the sensors are probably messed up, the oil in the super charger is probably destroyed, who knows the condition of the metals and seals. The list of unknown goes on.

These are fairly common and popular drive trains, you could probably get a better one that's more worth the time and effort.
