L67-l36
I found a 2004 monte carlo that says Supercharged SS on the sides, its not a Dale Car but vin shows it has the L67 in it..I didn't know there was a diff S/C eng for them vs the regular SS montes..it has 114k on it..do those L67 out last the L37's ..in other words will it go another 100k with regular oil changes..etc.

it was an option in 2004 that the ss could either be a l36 or l67, in 2005 all of the ss models were a l67.
it depends on how other maintenance was done too not just oil changes. these engines are very good engines and ive seen them last forever but ive seen them break as well... no the trans on the other hand is weak and tends to need rebuilt or replaced so if that hasnt been done already im sure it will be coming very soon.

I assume you mean L36 here. Just so you know, the L36 and L67 are virtually identical. Sure compression ratio is different, obviously the LIM/SC/TB is different, and a few other things- but all of the stories of excellent reliability on L36 3800s is exactly the same on L67s.
L67s do add one more small piece of maintenance (SC oil, SC coupler)- but it's really not a big deal at all.
If you're looking to buy a used L67- I would look hard to see if it appears to have been modified. Look at the condition of and measure the SC pulley, and look at other engine parts to see if it looks like they have been removed lately (keep in mind the car could be modded, then demodded prior to going to the scrap yard). The big concern with buying used (other than your usual engine stuff) is if someone put a smaller SC pulley on without supporting mods. If they went too small, and ran it too hard- the pistons tend to snap off pieces above the upper ring land. The engine will often still turn over and even run, so you have to be careful when looking.
