L36 to L67 engine swap

Default L36 to L67 engine swap
I own a 2000 Monte Carlo SS with a 3.8L V6 L36 engine. I was wondering if it is possible to swap an L67 out of an 04 or 05 Monte into my 2000 without any major conversions

Anything is possible. All it takes is money and time.

But the answer to your question is yes it can be done. I know there are a bunch of threads on MCF and other 3800 sites about L36 to L67 swaps and top swaps. I don't know the in's and out's of the process and at this time I have not researched the topic. But I know it can definitely be done.

grab as much as you can from the donor car. You'll need the harness, PCM, engine and trans.

I would just top swap before I replaced the whole engine unless the engine is real high in milage or is having issues.

It's not the easiest to tune a top-swap on an 00-02
