Okay from what i hear
1) Most people dont recommend buying engine parts on ebay.
2) Its a "universal kit" so its most likely have to be modified to fit your car. it wont be a simple bolt on.
3) the price.. you wouldnt be getting a good turbo/not reliable

If your going to get a turbo, save up your money and get a legit one from trusted companies. not cheap ebay kits.

you can go this path but.. dont be surprised when you run into a problem

If you own a shop and can do all the custom piping yourself for crazy cheap, then it is worth it.

If not, then you should look at zzp z3 kit, that's their budget kit.

It could be possible, if you had the tools, place and know-how that is! The issue is that, regardless of the kit you end up purchasing, you'll always end up doing customizations. But most of the kits for the 3800 W-body engines are made specifically our cars. Universal kits are mostly made for rear wheel drive cars and the downpipe/x-over will need customization. If you can, try to get one that is made for front wheel drive cars, that may help a bit.

you may be able to do it, but with all the work of custom bending pipes, i don't think the turbo would be as good of quality especially compared to the zzp turbo

First off, there was a recent thread about this same idea- try searching, that thread had a good bit of info.

Secondly- you have a 3800- why make your own turbo setup when there are plenty of super cheap turbo options both new and used?

Third, it has nothing to actually mount the turbo- the crossover pipe that mounts the turbo, and the downpipe are the biggest parts of the kit. Sure it has plenty of cold side piping- but you could just buy tubing by itself and save money on that.

Fourth, the turbo is likely cheap garbage- especially seeing that the whole kit here is a good bit cheaper than retail on a decent turbo alone minus all the parts.
