Somone worked on my car that susposibly dont work at the shop any more......went in for head gasket change (which is how i bought it a week befor)............the guy worked on it a week and when i get it back i cant let it get to 4000 rpm if i do car sputter and wont accelerate and engine light comes on and flashes can anyone help me

 

First thing, find out what code is coming up with the engine light. That might tell you more directly what the problem is. Also, if this is the result of work done at a shop, I don't care if the mechanic that serviced it works at the shop or not, I'd take it back in and hold the shop responsible.
