Default How can i take out the LS (3400) engine top?

I pretty much painted all the parts i wanted to paint inside the engine bay...but i think it would be super complete if i could paint the top engine portion. Anyone dealt with this kinda stuff before?
-Thanks in advance!

I woud avoid painting the heads/intake. Theyre aluminum so painting them would affect cooling
