Default 3100 to 3400 top end swap gains

Hey, i currently have a 99 monte LS 3.1 with 150,000 miles (recently done a lot of work). i was looking to do a 3400 top end swap. i wanted to know from someone who has done it, what kind of power gains do you see? i am specifically looking for more low end torque, is this a good swap for torque gains?

i did it last summer to my 95...you feel a little difference and it looks way better and using junk yard parts totally cheap. not much modding is needed to make it fit either..just really an egr adapter plate..and cuz you have a 99 you might not even need it

If only I knew about the 3100-to-3400 top swap stuff earlier when I got my '94 Grand Am.... I may have considered that idea (as Dave said, junk yard parts make it CHEAP). But that Grand Am is beyond a point of playing with it like that.... She's a daily driver allowing me to keep the Monte under cover for the winter.

nice!! i think i might just have to do that as well . even tho i just rebuilt my motor, and would rather take a bullet in the foot right now than tear it apart again for the third time (thank you dexcool). might just be worth it...
