Default hot engine bay?

Another stupid question. But with this car, after I drive it and pop the hood, it is really hot under there. My engine isn't running hot and I have coolant, but if you touch the support bars on the side, you can't hold onto it, it's that hot! Is it like that naturally or do I have a problem?

I'm wanting to say it's fine if coolant temps are fine. Engines and exhaust get very very hot to touch

Your engine runs at 195 degrees on a normal basis. So you can imagine everything does get very very hot.

I have noticed the same thing in my '01 SS and I also wondered if it was just me or normal. Sounds like its normal now since I'm obviously not the only one.
