Default Hey guys PCM Question
Ok 96 monte, 3100 can i just swap pcms with the same year and engine? will it have to be programmed? any help appreciated... oh and will it affect VATS system. Thanks guys

The PCM needs to be programmed with the VIN in your car to work.

Another problem with swapping stock PCM's is that they are sometimes locked (depending on year) from GM... So entering your cars VIN would have to be done at or by a dealer... Other members here might have more detailed info... Good luck...

It might work, you might need a case relearn, or you might need to get it unlocked
