i did mine with a 4x4 the first time and had no issues but i had mine tight enough that it barley moved when i dropped the sub frame.... if it dropped down that much do what i said with the jack on the oil pan to lift the engine back up and you should be able to line it up once you do that...

OK that is probably the problem then. It dropped a good 3-4 inches when we unbolted it. We probably should have taken more care to see that it didn't move.

We will jack up from the oil pan and take it from there. My buddies got a piece of ¾" plywood we use on the oil pan so we don't dent it.

OK got the subframe up finally. We got 5 guys out on it and we each lifted a corner and then the front guys put in their bolts. Problem was like you said that the engine was too low we had to jack it up and we actually remove the 4x4 and hold it with the cherry picker to get us some extra height on it when it was jacked up finally.

Now its just sway bar, steering, lower control arms, half shafts and I think completes it. Going out Sunday to finish up.

Thanks for all the help on this dude.

sweet, now by sway bar you mean the end links and not the whole sway bar correct?

also a little to late now but it would of been a perfect time to change the trans and engine mount if needed...

Yeah I mean the end links.

The only thing now that I'm concerned with is the steering shaft popped out and John my buddy is concerned about getting that back in. He says it won't be a problem but that my steering wheel will be jacked around now. I think its called the steering shaft by what I could find here its the part of the steering that fits into that big rubber boot? Apparently it has to "fit" in only one way or something? Its got the teeth or gears on it?

Yeah actually the mounts looked fine. The only issue was the lower motor mount nuts were finger tight which we think might have led to this whole problem in the first place by allowing enough movement to maybe crack the flexplate?
