Default Finally, a good idea...

So, I am thinking about buying an old engine off of ebay, and having it cleaned, bored, and then completely rebuilding it. It will only be about 300 bucks off of ebay, so, all I really want everyone's opinion on is if the 3800 series II supercharged engine block changed from 1997 and up? I am 99.9% sure that this wont be a problem, at all. But anyone's input would help!

Thanks guys, and as always, its a pleasure.

I know there have been some changes, but I don't really recall what they are. I think it might have to do with valves or head design.

I would just say be sure there are no cracks at all in the block becasue that happened to one of my friends who was going to do the same thing just with a different engine. he bought it off ebay from a guy with 99.8 feedback and when he got it cleaned they found a crack in it so it was worthless for what he wanted to do with it.

Good Deal, then I'll make sure to get it in writing that if there is a crack, he will exchange the engine.

Thanks!
