FASTER!

RE: FASTER!
Good discussion people. I do have a question about going faster...lol. Instead of me doing an L67 swap (I currently have an L36) Could I just put an M90 s/c on it, get a PCM/ECM flash and a serp belt for an L67 and have it work? Just curious.

RE: FASTER!
You would have to do what's called a "top swap", which is alot more than just the M90 and the PCM and a belt.
There are 2 belt systems on the L67, and that's driven off the crank. THe crank pulley (or balancer) has 12 ribs (6 for accessory and 6 for SC), second, you would need the L67 lower intake, fuel rail, heads, and a few other notables to achieve the goal. It's just about as much work as dropping in a L67 if you ask me.

Thats a pretty good list of the parts needed (don't forget gaskets).
Its not terrible to do, but you've got to figure you're changing everything down to and including the heads- which means when you get everything torn down- you're gonna be all the way down to the short block (ie you can see the pistons)- and you replace all the stuff from there on up with the new L67 parts. Definitely not as easy as it may seem-like Lav said.
ZZP does have their SSM90 parts so you don't have to remove the heads, or the harmonic balancer (it runs the blower off the accessory belt)- but there are some limitations in the kit, and you do pay a pretty penny for it.
