stay away from fram filters (ever since walmart started selling fram, they told fram to make it so they could sell it for a certain price, and their quality dropped, up here walmart, canadian tire sell fram, so i always say to stay away from them, not a very good quality)
wix gold filters are as good as they get, they even make the ac delco filters
for me its a wix gold filter and royal purple oil

AGREED!
That said, not all Fram's are crap. The one good Fram filter is the Fram Xtended Gaurd. (its in a gold box, cost about $8 bucks at Wal-Mart.)

The newer AC Delco filters are crap. They are manufactured by a new company now, they used to be made by champion labs. Now its someone else, and the quality is awful. The new AC Delco filters are identical to the Super-Tech filters, STP, and few other filters that are all now garbage. They have plastic supports for the pleats now, and uneven pleats all around. Plus the gaskets are slimmer, and cheaper, and the threaded hole is cheaply constructed now. Next time your at Wal-mart, or anywhere else that sells AC Delco, STP or Super-Tech (obviously Wal-Mart), open the box, and check our the filter. Look through the exit hole at the pleats. You will see what i'm talking about.
