hi need some help I have a 1987 monte carlo ss the car runs perfect until it hit operating temp then it start to bog down a it stalls if you stop at a light.please help cant figure out what is on th go.thanks

 

It sounds like the torque convertor lock up solenoid is shot. I think you need to get the part number off the tag on the trans to get the correct solenoid. I changed mine years ago and don't remember all the details but i believe there is 2 possibilities depending on what trans you have. It is a easy job. Just have to drop the trans pan.
