Default Engine stumble from a stop

*i want to start of my apologizing if this has been posted already

I have a 2006 Monte Carlo SS, and the last 3 days the car has been intermittently stumbling on take off from a stop. Its got no power at take off and i have the feather the gas out and back in for it to grab. Trans fluid is full and new and, gas is clean.

I have seen a few other posts here regarding a Cat issue with older Monte Carlo's and i am wondering if this is possibly the same issue that i am having and if something as simple as hollowing out the Cat will fix the issue.

Thanks in advance

There is no check engine lights on, the car has about 95,000 miles on it, there has not been any tune up done to the engine, the only work in the past year that has been done is a replaced radiator and water pump. There was also a trans line was changed and the system was filled with new fluids

stock plugs are only good to about 100k miles. Might benefit from a tune-up before you start diagnosing.

My dad's F150 was just doing this same thing and it ended up being his coil pack. I concur with Chibi about doing some basic tune up stuff before you really dig in.

I don't think you have a replaceable fuel filter, I think it's a screen in the pump/tank on your car.

I would do both, 100k is a good amount of time on the stock stuff. And you have to remove the wires anyway to do the plugs. (might tear a boot in the process)

I just completed replacing both the wires and the plugs and the problems at this point seems to have gotten better, i will update if there continues to be any problems.
