Default Engine compartment sizes

I have a 1998 Monte Carlo LS. I want to put a bigger engine in it and I was wondering what would be the biggest engine I could put in it. Or if anybody know the size of the engine compartment or sites that I could find them on?

Just do a 3800 swap. It's the easiest swap and the sky's the limit power wise for them.
