Default engine compartment

Hey I just yanked my 350 out of my 85 SS and I just finished sanding down my engine compartment...now i plan to paint it black, i am wondering if anyone has any suggestions as of to what paint i should use for it. On another note i am also not using my quadrajet intake or heads from my 305, if anyone wants any of them they can make me an offer.

High temp would be better IMO.. I tend to over do things so it might be overkill for the firewall.

the best stuff for doing that is RPO-15 high gloss. you can get it threw summit racing and also Eastwood auto.

but the stuff is great, prevents rust from fourming and if there is any rust there ya just sand lightly and paint over it this stuff will kill it and leave a nice finish for ya. also great on frames to so you can paint the upper and lower frame rails on that car and they will hold the test of time. hard to chip and scratch off.

great stuff

as far as Hig temp. yeah i tend to use in on most things under the hood, but really it is not something ya have to do. i do it becuse of headdrers and things of this nature will get hot and could cause other paint to flake or peel if it didnt get a good seal .
