So my check egine light came on for the first time on my '03 Monte LS, 3.4 liter. According to my sanner it was a PCV valve stuck, therefore I replaced it. Today the light shows back up however this time it is reading an error with the EGR valve it's self. Can these be cleaned and put back on? I just dont see spening $140 on somehting that really does nothing. Any thoughts?

 

I believe the EGR can be cleaned. I had this issue recurring with my 01 ss, the fix was a new cat converter... good luck
