Default Dyno tune

I just talked to a guy who does dyno tunes and he said I would probably only get about 10 horse and it would cost 350? I thought it would give me more than that. I have a 07 ss with. K&N and exhaust. Does this sound right or is he off a little? Thanks

Price is to high and 10 hp is hardly worth it or even noticeable

It's quite possible that you would only gain about 10whp. Doing a dyno tune should be done after you get a lot of work done, maybe after you do headers or something big. An intake and exhaust is hardly anything. But also keep in mind that a tune can raise more then just peak hp. It can also raise hp all across the power band. So if you made 10whp more from 3000-5500rpm, then it would be worth it.

But if you're looking for bragging rights, then it wouldn't be worth it.

I'm not looking for bragging rights. I mainly want to get the dod disabled and to firm up the shifting. Would I be better off going with will at overkill or what do you guys think?

If that's all you want, there are cheaper options.

You can also look at doing a diablew tune, and at least you'll own the little handheld tuner for the same price.

Where are you located? If local, I can also help with just that minor stuff for nice and cheap.

That's not really true at all.

I would go with Overkill personally, but I have seen great things with Diablew tunes as well.

I have an overkill tune and made 293 at the wheels with his canned tune. It works great for what it is.
