Dual alternator setup
#14
The batteries, amps, speakers, etc will add up to 750-800 lbs. My fuel efficiency should stay the same. Mythbusters made an episode about fuel efficiency and adding weight doesn't really effect, just getting up to the speed eats the gas. So I will avoid city driving.
I figured this is what a dual alternator setup would look like. I did it on Corel Paint Shop Pro.
If you're dead set on running 2 alternators- get ahold of PRJ (from PRJ performance) and ask him the contact info of the shop that built his alternator relocation bracket. It deletes the AC compressor, and mounts an alternator in that spot. One simple bracket, a little extra wiring- and no worrying about making any kind of custom brackets.

I bought (3) 390 amp alternators for my 2000 monte carlo. One will replace the factory alternator. For the other two, I will relocate the main battery to the trunk like the Camaro and other newer vehicles and use a dual alternator brackets near the front battery area. I will have to cut a hole in my hood and have a hood scoop so the alternators have room. I will relocate the spark plug wiring a few inches. I may put a hood scoop on both sides similar to the challenger for looks. I don't like the look of the dodge neon with a hood scoop on one side of the car. I'll probably put leds in the hood scoop vents since no air intake is necessary.
