I don't write often on here if at all, but your question was good , I just did all my plugs for some Autolite 605's, my recommendation is don't tilt the engine it's not worth the trouble and there nothing you can do from underneith as well // just toss forward your coolant bottle without disconnecting the hose, remove the strut brace and the 02 harness bracket and that was sufficient for me, I even used a straight 3/8 rcht , but it's good to use a boot pliers, space is still tight but it's doable......

hello i saw you are talking about spark plugs.
i have a 1980's Monte Carlo. when i change the spark plug cables i see some of them were burned by the exhaust piece.
how can i avoid this from happening again?

you need to get a hanger system for it... just make sure to use those separators they sell at autozone and then use zipties to keep them out of the way of the headers. they also make heat resistant boots for the plug wires... but i think this is over kill but its out there.

i think i dont need a hanger systems because the burned part of the cable is the one who is connected to the spark plug. is burned because is too close to the exhaust system []

ceramic would hold up to the heat also but they tend to break easily after heating and cooling .

but they hold the heat.

i have used the sleeves on my old monte around the plug wres and boots it works also but it will have to be replaced when the plugs are
