Can I just add an Eaton M90?

You could probably get into the 13s with a low amount of boost.

Send Zipper at ZZP an email and ask him some of those questions and he will gladly give you a rundown.

Also, if I use a blow-off valve, because it's an automatic, will I get the "whoosh" sound when it changes gears? (My girlfriend asked about it..lol)

I have the Z7 kit with the air-to-air intercooler since 2008 , no track or dyno numbers yet, but I'm planning on dynoing on the 16th at my friends shop....

One thing I will recommned is a transmission upgrade...they ussually go once serious hp is added to the car...check out Triple Edge Performance - Home Page for a good place on transmissions...

you will probably get the whoosh...my car however giggles...

See thats pretty much what I wanted to avoid. By adding a turbo, a potential tranny upgrade is pretty much emminent. Those all equate to serious money, time, and most likely another vehicle to use in the interim.
I think I'm just gonna go with a top swap and Eaton M90. I know I could make the car a rocketship with a turbo, but in all honesty, I would like to keep it as close to stock as I can without adding serious upgrades; but just make it a little faster.
It is my only means of transportation at the moment (unless we get a month straight of 80 degree days and I can take my motorcycle to work).
Anyone know any mechanics on Long Island who would do the top swap for me?

A turbo and top swap will take about the same effort. Supercharging is theoretically harsh on the transmissions too.

I went through this transmission with a stock car. Don't think the topswap is the magical answer for power without killing the tranny.

Yeah, with these tranny's you have to pretty much assume that they are going to fail even if stock. And I don't understand how you don't view a top swap as a serious upgrade. Anytime you can get a 50+hp jump in a 200hp car is a big upgrade. These tranny's weren't designed for that kind of torque.

Although, I'm still rocking a stock tranny with a shift kit. Probably a combination of zero traction and knowing how to treat the tranny while driving I suppose.

Been through one tranny and Im working on another, lol. Everything I have heard/read about boosting a car is that turbos are less harsh on a transmission because they dont have the instant torque that a supercharger gets, thus putting less strain on the trans because they build most of their power after you are really moving.
