Default Booging down

Happy almost 4Th time Everyone!
OK so I'm on my way to work this morning, turn on to the highway ramp, step on the gas and the car boogs down, no power? I pull over and pop the Hood and everything "Looks" normal. I give it gas at the TB and it boogs?
I know I have a code first the crankshaft sensor. Have had it for a while. And I know it would screw with my timing. It's acting like I got a bad plug or wires. Which make sense. But I heard that there is a relearning for the Crank sensor and I don't have the $$$ right now for a VISIT TO GM. I just want a couple of weeks where I don't have to fix anything, just drive. Am I asking too much?

Without doing the crank relearn you can expect continued performance issues as you're experiencing now. How long you want to drive it like that is up to you. You don't have to go to the dealership for the relearn, Any shop with a Tech II or equivalent scanner should be able to do it.

The Cat hasn't been in the car for a month. Brand new Magnaflo. Hope that's not the problem. I have the Crank sensor. Should have put it in when I did the strut on that side. The car was running at about 90% yesterday. I haven't gotten on it, punched the gas or embarrassed a Honda, cause I know the sensor is bad. Pepboys wanted $261 to install my $50 part and I didn't have that kind of $$$ at the time. I was gonna get the wheel alignment on Sunday. Guess I'll put the Crank sensor in and just have them do the relearn. I'll check my plug wires too. I'm just a little Frustrated! Seems like every time I make Some forward progress, something pushed me back. I know I bought the car with problems and with you guys help I been dealing with the as they come up. Just having trouble dealing with it today is all. Have a nice w/e planned with my girls and wanted no distraction. Oh well! It's all on me! I still Luv my Monte though!

I would certainly start by resolving any CEL conditions. So get the Crank Sensor and the relearn complete. If it is still bogging down, it could be any list of things, some can be regular maintenance:
- Plugs and Wires over 100,000 miles (or BOSCH plugs, always use NGK or AC Delco, never BOSCH plugs) or a damaged plug wire
- Coil pack failing (rare, but I've seen it happen and cause a misfire)
- Faulty injector
- Clogged fuel filter
- Failing upstream O2 sensor (replace with AC Delco or Delphi for best success)

Best of luck getting your ride running tip-top. I'm sure the issue is nothing major, it's just isolating it (and of course having the time and money for it).

Well it's thanks to you folks here on MCF that my YelloJAC is 75% better than it was when I bought her! And I continue to value your advice.
I put NGKs in in Jan. And have replaced the fuel filter MAS, TBS, IAC, TPS, MAP, cleaned the TB new Belt and Battery, FPR, EGR and Ign module. This is just another fur ball caught in my throat. I'll keep on working on her till she's 100%. The wife even asked me when I want to start saving for a new motor! So this Monte ain't leaving my hands for a long time. It's well worth the frustration cause in the end the Gratification will be Enormous!

Well, the car is in the shop. They put the crack sensor in and called me to say the car was done. But they didn't do the Relearn? So they still have her and the and the Head Mechanic is Pissed. So he is taking care of it himself. I'll have been back soon.
