Default Blew a tranny

well technically not blown but its about a day away from being blown to pieces so its parked til monday when its getting swapped out for the upgraded one from an 04 Supercharged. 500$ total including parts and labor.

wow thats no bad at all. make sure that one is going to last you a while and not break right away. Do you know the guy thats doing is because i think thats a good price.

I wouldn't put the 4t65e-HD on your car unless you plan on boosting it.

The hardened parts in that transmission aren't the parts that break, and with the gearing on that one you will be slower.

You'll also need a new passenger axle.

I agree, with the 4t65E HD, the only thing different about it is the differental. The interals are the same. The gear ratio on you non-HD tranny is 3.29, the HD one from the 04 S/C is a 2.93 gear ratio. So you will loose off the line pep. Not to mention need to change your differential.

i was actually misinformed, its just from a regular 04 so its not the heavy duty version.
