Default Bit help needed on understanding a basic L67 swap

Hey guys I want to start off saying I am loving some of your cars I am seeing here. I Currently have a 3400 series Monte, A friend of mine is looking to sell me a L67 that had about 80k miles on it. Is the motor the only thing required to put this inside my Monte? I am trying to follow some of the post in the other topics following the swap threads but some of it goes over my head. Please try and work with a new user lol.

Thanks for all the comments guys and it is coming from a 2000 Grand Prix. I guess I should look online far a entire car to transfer the parts from.

your trans could work. im pretty sure your 3400 has a 4t65e you would just need the PCM reprogrammed for that trans. if you have a 4t60e then you might be able to run a 96 Riviera pcm as those had the L67 and a 4t60e. by retaining your trans you will not have to change axles.

Main things you will need:
-Engine
-Power steering high psi line. the lower psi should still work.
-transmission lines may need to be swapped
-AC lines may need to be changed
-coolant lines to heater core
-PCM tuned for any differences like mentioned above.
-Harness from SS mc
-throttle cable may be different. I know my DOHC cable was diff then the 3800's
-exhaust manifolds and down pipe OR Headers *now is the time to do headers as it is much easier to install while the engine is going in.
