Default Best Programmer/Tuner

From what I read, I should not just get a new pcm/swap, but buy a tuner/programmer. It seems like everyone on here says the Diablo is very limited but the DHP is very complicated. How is the hypertech? I have the 3400 with a list of mods in my signature. I am also porting the TB and putting the 180* t-stat in. Anyone have any suggestions? I know ZERO about these tuners

I got a hypertech, was very easy to use, but the customer service for them was horrid. The tuner ended up not working...appearantly my car had a different coding that my tuner didn't recognize and they wanted to charge me 250 to get it upgraded. At that point I just got rid of it.

i have the hypertech and honestly i would spend the time and money on something else and learn it

they are right it is real easy to use, but it is also a very limited program reprogramer it dont allow to many changes that actually you could change in teh real world in th ecomputer that is in the car you can change a whole bunch more then they allow you to.

spend you money on orther programers. do a serch for hypeter tech here and look for athread from z34 phenoix and then read that thread it has a lot of info on the one he has also and it honestly seems to one of the best bangs for the buck

I had the Hypertech and sold it immediately before I even hooked it up to the car. I saw how limited it was and didn't like it. I thought I would be able to tweak air/fuel maps and such but to no avail. I'll be picking up a DHP Programmer or I am going to get one from ZZP and see if they can make a quick mod for me by not bumping up the transmission pressure or the race pellet stuff.

yes the DHP powertuner is one of the best out there. there is also one called HP tuner. but i dont know much about the HP tuner. the DHP has an owners only forum where you can research and ask questions about tuning. in the course of 4 months i went from not knowing anything about tuning or even what all the terms and sensors ment or did... to making serius HP gains.
