Default Auto start

Hope i posted this in the right spot. When I purchased my monte the original owner had an automtic start put in controlled by the remote. They sound good in theory but I am not a fan of these at all, so my question is how would I go about disabling/removing this feature? I'm sure it's great in the winter with the letter seats but I hve no interest in it.

You can ask any dealer if they can do it. Where I work, we have a guy on site that installs them. He will take them out if asked as well. My Monte came with one and I love it. I never had one before.

I can imagine it would be amazing in the winter time especially with the Leather seats but i live in an apartment complex and the signal doesnt reach from inside to the parking lot so either way I would have to go outside at some point to get it started lol I just feel it's one more than that can cause an issue (wether the chance of it causing an issue is slim to none) has anyone done it them selves or do you have to bring it to a dealer ?

Can you see your car from the apartment? If so, it sounds like a weak signal to the car. Try changing the battery in the remote. I have seen this numerous times at work.

If you really want it removed, probably best to have someone else do it.

It's a first come first serve lot so I don't always get close to my door and I work late hours so I'm always parking in a lot that's not even close at all. It could very well need a new battery, but then again I never use it so I couldn't even Judge it off of a constant.
