im trying to find out what the original carburetor is on a 1986 monte carlo ss?

750 Rochester Q-Jet cc carb. 4ME I believe is the #

computer controlled q-jet other car you could get one off of are 80's malibu,monte carlo sc/ls,grandprix, regal, cutlass, i'm sure there's more but thats all i can think of

ugh, its one of THOSE? best bet, remove & replace, even if its an older stock Q jet & HEI distributor.

i like your thinking ryan! (hmm i wonder y that is o wait i'm doing it!!!)but not just HEI dist, all you reall need is a HEI dist base with vacume advance
