air purge without t-stat HELP!!!! PLEASE!!!!
hey guys, i have a 2004 monte carlo ss supercharged dale jr edition, i took out the t stat and i bled the system but i just wanna make sure. i get a constant stream of coolant when i open the bleeder and then it stops.if i rev the engine i get the coolant stream again and it stops. i have no t-stat.do i have air in the system or not??? thanks guys
If at any time the bleed valve is open and there isn't a steady stream of coolant, it means there is air in the system. Also, make sure you've got the correct amount of coolant in the system.
Why did you remove the thermostat?
Are you flushing the system?... Also.. open the heater core for a true flush...
It gonna take more than 1 try to get the all the air out of your system...
But Like keane said...Besure the system is full before trying to bleed off the air...
You do realize:
That when you put a new T stat back in it..your gonna have to bleed it again.
