The gear ratio should be the same if it's from a supercharged engine, so you shouldn't need to tune anything. I don't know about the harness though, I doubt they're interchangeable, but the 97 models were the first year for the Series II supercharged engines - and those transmissions may have quirks about them also.

So can I install the hd trans an drive say around my block to make sure it works with out getting the gear ratio changed?
