5.3L 2006 Monte SS question

Those plastic plenums tend to crack as they get old so don't be surprised when that happens. My wifes Buick has one which was replaced a couple years back. Gotta love CAFE!

yea man plastic intakes. theses days you dont have to bring your automobile to a stop with you barefeet either. what i still can't understand is that they stuck with plastic for so long with the 3800 and then go metal again in the last gen. wtf

Yeah everything is going plastic it seems, ls1 i got has a plastic intake as well

All 2006-2007 Monte Carlo SS' come with the 5.3L V8 (LS4).

I think I'd just take the UIM off and paint it. It's not a big deal to remove I would think. I've had mine off of my 3800 numerous times.
