But if the 4T65-E trans is a week point in the drive train, wouldn't he benefit from getting a rebuilt trans with all the Upgrades?

 

He's not talking about a rebuild/upgrade. He's talking about swapping to the HD version of the transmission. However the things that are different with the HD version, are not the things that break. So he will still have a weak point.

 

Just wanted clarification. Cause I am still debating weather to rebuild, or get a rebuild with the upgrades. All I really need, as far as I can tell, is the TCC changed. But I don't want any of the other 18 problems with the 4t65e!

 

If you're gonna get it rebuilt, might as well get one from TEP IMHO
