6th Gen ('00-'05): 4t65e-hd upgrade?

4t65e-hd upgrade?
I have been pushing 103 MPH on the 1/4 mile strip, but have had really bad launches, do to street tires...
Currently the best results are to launch at idle, go to about 40% TPS so I don't break the tires loose and then gradually increase TPS...
My thoughts are; if I go to a sticky wider drag radial, I could probably launch at 1,500 - 2,000 rpm and can it from the start with out spinning; WAY better 60' times and WAY more stress on my factory 4t65e-hd... I did some searching but didn't come up with much???

Thoughts? / Feedback? anyone?

For those mods, you need to start with our performance 4t653HD and add:
4340 input shaft
2500 stall converter
And either 3.29 or 2.93 single chain conversion.
That trans will handle that setup (with slicks, or DR’s) for a VERY long time ( I have one with those same mods, and have around 40K miles on my trans)

A friend of mine ran a 11.70 on a stock transmission. At 103 with a bad launch, what is that, like a low 14, high 13? I wouldn't bother with the upgrade, just keep around another spare.
