Ive been debating whether too build the 305 in my 87 LS into a stroker...Or just drop in a 350..Anybody tried the stroker kit..Yes milage issa consideration since its my daily driver in the summer...

 

its not worth it. just do a 350. if anything the 350 is going to give you more power per cubic inch. if you stroke that 305 youre pretty much throwing everything away except your block. new crank,rods,pistons,heads,intake,carb,and ignition. to go through all that to make less power than a comparable 350 seems pointless. if you really have money to burn on strokers than get a 350 and stroke it. if not get a 350 do a little cam and a decent set of heads.

 

I agree with TheMonteMan. Plus, 350's are plentiful and so are perfromance parts.
