Default 229 84 plug wires

My 84 with the 229 3.8 I replaced the plugs the distributor and it ran but hardly, so I got new plug wires and ripped the old out without marking where they go, it won't start. I have 5,3,1 on the passenger with 5 in the rear and 6,4,2 on the driver with 6 in the rear. Is this correct or am I way off.

My car is a Ls I bodyworked and painted and made look like a ss, it was parked 8 years before I bought it and put the new plugs and distributor cap to make it run somewhat, I've driven it 20 miles and it ran rough, so I have just got new wires in it but thinking I hooked them up wrong cause it won't start, I need some advice thanks

You need to find the firing order. And find your number one on the cap. Then run the wires according.
