Default 2002 3800 engine question

ok...working at a GM dealership, i should know the answer to this... but i watned to ask all you techy guys frist. on a 2002 monte SS, 3.8 serise II Vin code K, how much work is involved with adding a super charger from... say a 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix 3.8 supercharged vin code 1. After all, we all know in 2004 they made it an option for a SS super changed and it is exactly like the 2002-2003 pontiac grand prix's ( maybe even as early as 2000 pontiac W cars super changed enignes are the same as the 2004 monte's engine) Has anyone done this? mechanicly i know it can be done, just swap the lower and upper intake from the vin code k engine, and take the lower intake and the super charger from the vin code 1 engine. add all the pullys and brackets and what not.. im 90% sure that part can be done assuming the heads are exactly the same. i could do cross referencing of the part numbers involved. but like i said.. i mearly just want to know if anyone has done it, tried it. or knows 100% it can be done. i dont think used parts would be all that expensive... and the horse power and speed gains would be well worth my time. mechanicly i know i could swap the parts in less than a day. if anyone has info on this, id be glad to hear about it

The compression is different and the 3800 NA has weaker connecting rods than the Supercharged version has. They do have conversion kits you can pick up from zzperformance.com and wbodystore.com

i checked into it once. the supercharged verison also uses a different starter. i guess it takes more power to get the supercharger to start turning. everything else on your serpentine belt is the same.

except for the fact that there are two serp belts! your forgeting the SC belt itself

but if your adding a SC to yoru NA motor your normal starter will be fine.
