0742 DTC set
Recently had my tranny replaced. Now I'm getting random 742 codes set. I have VCM Scanner but I need some help understanding what I'm seeing.
The code seems to set during acceleration, but after it sets all the reading in the scanner appear normal except for the PWM Duty Cycle which is stuck at 99.6%. That's twice that I have captured the code and both times the PWM was 99.6%. TCC Mode cycles between off, apply, and locked. TCC Slip RPM changes. Apply Time changes.
My question is do I look to the TCC/PWM solenoid or the PCM to fix the problem?
