Hoping someone can point me in the right direction. After being parked for a while, usually first thing in the morning, when backing out of the driveway and shifting from reverse to drive it feels like the gears are not engaging and the car will not move forward. It does if I manually use first, second, then third gear. Once I have manually shifted through the gears I can then leave it in drive and it seems to shift fine the rest of the day. Does this sound like the shift solenoid or something else? Any ideas or suggestions are appreciated.
