Removing swirl marks

Question why do most of you use compound you dont have to use a compound to remove swirl marks. Every time you use a compound you remove a little clear coat and on most cars your clear coat is very thin. Check these videos out it will help save your paint. I hope these help you.

Mel Meguires compound is very very tame. They have to make it pretty much fool proof for the average person therefore it is not aggressive at all. I have stuff at my shop if you use more than a couple times in an area you will be burning through to give you an idea.

That's what I do. No need to go overboard but most try to do it by hand or orbital I use an actual buffer and it's a different ballgame.
