Default Ram Air hood + intake

I am thinking about installing the ram air hood on my monte carlo SS, the one found here.
http://www.pfyc.com/pc/MC1001/MCEXT/...+Air+Hood.html

Does anyone know if this is a good intake kit for this hood?

Are there any other hoods for this car? This is the only one I could find. Also, are there any other intakes around the same price which will work better with the hood?

The hood is mainly for looks. Look at where the air inlet is, and where your air box is. LONG distance. If you are going to race, and you have a conventional CAI, just take out your headlight unit, wha-la, RAM AIR!
Looks like the ticket tho if you are running a full height intercooler.

i like it for the looks of it.
But it is a func. hood also. they have th ekit that works on it for the SLP air cleaners. and seems to do pretty good.
But for all out racing i think it would get the air hatter then the stock version for the distance it has to cover to get to the intake.
but i like them to but there are alot of folks that have them .
