Great write up I'll have to try it. I don't know of it will work any good out here in fresno ca. It's in the 100s and the water drys up so fast on the cars.

 

I remember that system (and when a local close out store had the full kits on sale at $10 a piece I bought a couple). The "magic" of the system I believe was that it filtered your water. In theory, if that is the case, wash with filtered water and it should improve results.

 

what I did was wash the car with mothers car wash soap then used Maguire's cleaner wax then used this polymer called sonax made in Germany put it on last six months .So when you wash water has tiny beads and use a chamois to wipe off no water spots

 

Good write up on this. My neighbor uses some kind of wash and wax and then uses a leave blower to dry his vehicles.... anyone ever try doing that? I've always been scared to try the leave blower method as it could stir up dust etc lol

 

Local car wash here used the blower in the wash bay. You got the regular power wash wand, then one for shampoo interior, and another for doing tires and undercarriage. Then the blower to dry the car down.
All said and done the wash was well over $5.00 you can see the timers ticking away and when you add another quarter as soon as it is in the slot you are getting the alarm again. I think they program them that way to get you to spend more $.

 

I enjoy taking the time to hand dry, it lets you see any flaws that may creep up. I will try it in the shower tho ! Thanks for the tip !

 

This thread is about washing, so maybe I can ask about bug removal ...
Took a quick drive about a hour total, but on the drive I get a couple chances to speed if no traffic. Today was clear sailing, but bugs like crazy on my just cleaned car

Is there something to wipe the bugs off the bumper so they don't soak in ?
What do you all do to make your ride clean after a bug filled drive?

 

crazy at it sounds I use lemon pledge with a micro fiber cloth to remove bugs... it was the only thing I ever used to clean my motorcycle.

 

Yep that stuff works for sure.
My daughter used Hair spray when she lived at home and got it all over the place. Cleaning ladies the wife hired couldn't get it off.
I used Lemon Pledge and took it right off! Clean ladies were like what?
