Pictures: Tried a NEW car wash soap by Rain-X
 

While looking over car detailing items I spied a new car wash soap by rain-X. What caught my attention was the label says "No Drying".
Drying a car is a fair amount of time and if that process can be bypassed, I'm fine with that.

So my conclusion is the product sheets the water off very well with minimal beading. I think if left to dry without help from a towel type of your choice there could be the odd water streaks , marks etc. As I observed some areas I did not get to and left to dry on their own had some streaks and such that I easily buffed off with my damp microfiber.

I do feel with the sheeting action there is substantially less water to remove and the overall drying process saw a significant saving in the time normally required to dry the car.

I found this at K-Mart, could not find at Walmart to price shop, but the 48 oz bottle was about $10.

Does it say that it is a new formula? I use RainX for my wiper fluid and also use the standard rainX on the windshield of the 84 since the wipers are inoperable. Excellent products but I have not yet used the car wash.

I used to use soap from the "Mr. Clean AutoDry" system. Not the whole system - just the soap worked about the same. But I gave it up cuz it was just to darn expensive. $10 a bottle seems pretty good, but I doubt it would be any less than twice that in Canada if we can even get it here

Over here Walmart carries a Barrett Jackson product that's a wash and wax that claims to be self drying. I might give that a shot.

I've been fighting the drying thing for a long time, i get pretty bad water spots at my house lol. Looks like it's decent, but i think i'll stick with my current method of a meguiars wash with a dry from one of those super absorbent towels.

To funny that you use rain-X since your wipers are inoperable. I have never used it on my windshield, is it that good? Might have to try some if it is.

Yes this does say "New" on the bottle, I'm just saying it really speeds up the drying process for me. Use way fewer microfiber towels, wring them out less too. I would probably give this an 8 on ease of use.

My personal favorite is Meguiar's Gold Class car wash. It looks like the car is waxed when you finish.

Rain-X on the windshield is good.

Sometimes get a neat Star Wars Hyperdrive effect depending on the raindrops. But it's been a while since I have seen rain. Maybe this coming winter, El Nino just might bring rain to California.

Same here. I fill the Mr.Clean sprayer with it since all the stores around here quit selling refills.
