I hear ya on the masking part. Most tedious part of most paint jobs.
Those wheels look really good like that! I'm surprised GM didn't offer that as an option.
I think after seeing how well yours came out, more people will be willing to do it on theirs.

the car looks glossy but can't really tell how good of a job he did cause there's no direct sunlight reflection shots, but from what you did post it looks nice. The center caps are begging for something, a logo or something, do you have something planned?

For the center caps, I would put a black bowtie in the center. Not the round peel and stick things. That would look half azzed on that style rim. Maybe paint a black, "hollow" bowtie on there.

The style of bowtie on the trunk lid of the 2000-2005 Monte's.

Hi `Matt,
Beautiful Pictures, and your Monte ~>Looks Awesome,
especially with 180K miles.
(I would have never guessed that it had that many miles,
from the super appearance/condition)
I really like the painted `Rim's. I think it add's to the beauty
of the Monte Carlo.
I know, I'd be proud to own your Monte.
Thanks for sharing/posting/pic's.
Wish you another 180K safe/happy/fun miles in your `Monte.
from `Space

I have an 04 and the bowtie on my trunk lid wasn't hollow. Are you talking about a bowtie like the monte in the upper left corner of this page? I could be wrong but I think those came on the SS/SS SC only.
